NRI Ghar

Accessibility

Last reviewed: 2 August 2026

We build NRI Ghar to be usable with VoiceOver, at any text size, and without relying on colour to carry meaning. We aim at WCAG 2.1 level AA. This is our own assessment against that standard, not an independently audited conformance claim.

What we do

Known limitations

Documents you add to the vault are images and PDFs that you supply. We cannot describe their contents to a screen reader, because the app never reads them. You can give any vault item your own title, and that title is what VoiceOver announces.

The document scanner depends on the camera and is hidden on devices that do not support it. You can always add a document from your photo library or files instead.

Feedback

If any part of NRI Ghar is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us at nl.chetanpotdar@gmail.com. Describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We aim to reply within ten working days, and we treat accessibility reports as defects rather than as suggestions.

If email is not accessible to you, contact us by any means you can and we will find another way to correspond.

Scope of this statement

This statement covers the NRI Ghar iOS app and this website. It has not been independently audited, and we will update it as the app changes.
